and then sat down
right on top
of the flat-
tened pyramid
and waited
for the surge
it came
and the grids
convened
and the loathing
ceased
and the lesion
closed
and the imperturbable bottom
advanced itself
in a ceremony
without ceremony
it was the end
of every stiffness
the gestures
were full and luminous
and instructed our movements with accompanying sonoroties
discerned by the open ear all eyes
were open too in a new way
no longer locking on the object they needed
to look at with a seizure of grasping
but a smiling yet active embrace
of the visible panoply–
horizon, atmosphere, depth and pulsation
of being together
beneath the
sweep and rapture of a
seeing that
need not gaze . . .
