It is not a natural thing to keep large stones
planted in the earth. No roots
commingle with the fundament.

Each is singularity; therefore, no law
modulates
relations with
environs. Rather
environment abounds within the stone. 

The spaces
that obviate
density

are infinite
and luminous
with no source. 

This is the place where Physics
is raised an octave.

We are invited
to be
the stone
just where our own proclivities
discover emptiness.

Stone dons no mask
                               and yet
                                          it

will not be dissuaded from the carnival
